From there, you describe the edit in plain words. The agent carries it out on a real multitrack timeline, and you can take over at any frame. The company's workflow is four steps: upload footage, describe edit, review cut, export. One direction can apply across every shot on the timeline, from cutting pauses to matching the look, which is the part that saves you the most time.

The more unusual mechanic is "bring your own agents." InVideo lets you connect an outside agent to its editor, and the site shows Claude Cowork trimming a cold open, ChatGPT Codex grading to golden hour, Grok ducking music under a voiceover and Gemini writing captions, all live on the timeline while you watch. You can also build custom agents for specific roles like cinematographer, colorist, sound designer or music designer. Around that sit the usual production tools: script writing with an AI co-writer, storyboarding that turns a script into a shot-by-shot plan, and a multiplayer mode with live cursors and comments for real-time collaboration. InVideo pitches the timeline as "Premiere Pro with full AI," which sets a high bar.

Generation runs on credits, and the models are third-party: Nano Banana Pro, Seedance 2.0 Fast and Mini, Seedance 2.5 on higher plans, plus image models like Ideogram 4.5. That's where you'll want to read carefully. The Starter plan's 400 credits a month works out to roughly 15 Seedance 2 fast videos, and it only includes the Lite version of the frontier agents and Agent Two. It's a genuinely interesting take on AI editing, but the useful version of it sits above the entry tier.
